all you really need to know is they call her queen of knits. and that is. born in paris in 1930. in 1960s she got  pregnant and she just couldn't find any soft sweaters to wear so she created her own first sweater. It made the cover of ELLE fashion magazine, and brought her fame. she later became the first designer to put seams on the outside of a garment, and to print words on her sweaters. watch her in the documentary "the day before" then you will understand her more. i remember got my 1st sonia's sweater on my first trip to paris. her cloths reflect happiness and parisian femininity.
